We are a friendly, easy going professional family offering a lovely room in a spacious terraced house in the Murrayfield area.

The room is fully furnished with a double bed, desk and chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

We have a large open plan kitchen diner, and utility room, separate lounge and two bathrooms both with bath and shower. The bathrooms are shared. There is ample space for socialising and for peace and quiet when you want it. We have a lovely West facing back garden.

Excellent transport links, close to Haymarket Station and easy links to Edinburgh Airport. Direct bus route to both the Western General Hospital and Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Ample on street parking.

The room is available from 1 September and we would favour a letting period of 6 to 12 months initially. with the option to extend.

You will be sharing with Alan and in Sandra in a lively family friendly household.

Lovely 6 year old Finn, Sandra’s grandson, and his mum Hazel live just around the corner and visit often.

We are looking for someone easy going who appreciates a family feel to their home.

We would be grateful if you would agree to a basic Disclosure Scotland background check which we are willing to pay for.

I’ve really enjoyed living in this room for the past year. The room is bright, comfortable, has a lovely view, a spacious wardrobe, and a very comfortable double bed! The house is always clean, well looked after, and has everything you need. Sandra and Alan are the loveliest landlords, kind, caring and always happy to help. The location is excellent as well, with both bus and tram stops just a short walk away, and the neighbourhood is beautiful, peaceful, and a lovely place to live. "I moved from London to Edinburgh for a job opportunity and rented a room with Sandra and Alan for around 9 months before moving back.

My experience was nothing short of amazing — I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable from day one. The room I stayed in was spacious and bright, with a decent amount of storage. The rest of the house was always clean, well-cared for, and beautifully decorated — a reflection of the work Sandra and Alan put into the interior design.

The open kitchen added to the spacious feel of the home, with plenty of counter space, and was well-equipped with everything I needed for daily cooking, which I was generously allowed to use.

Sandra and Alan are warm and welcoming, and also chilled and relaxed. The house is spacious, clean and effortlessly runs itself (thanks to the magic cleaning fairies). The garden is south facing and in the warm weather a welcome space after work. The bed in my room is soooo comfortable. The bathroom has a great shower and bath. Wonderful location: easy access to tram and buses and half way between Town and the airport. Sorry to be moving on, but such is the life of an IT contractor. Sarah
