I now have one lovely room available: the bedroom to the rear of the flat.
(TAKEN: A gorgeous front room, interior design by a friend, with a large double wardrobe (plenty of shelf and rail space for clothes, trays for jewellery, shoe baskets) and more. It's quiet, airy, with shutters to keep the light and noise out and the heat in.
£950 pcm inclusive of bills (gas, electricity, council tax if applicable, fast internet).
A bedroom to the rear of the flat, facing the garden. I'm no photographer and the photo doesn't do the room justice. Has a double bed with comfortable mattress and shutters over the windows (privacy, keep the warmth in, any noise out). Quiet with a great view of a meticulously-kept and beautiful shared garden. The chimney flue has been capped to keep the heat in, so the fireplace forms a nice period feature in the corner, with a large mirror above it. Chest of drawers and wardrobe for one. Room can be supplied with or without bed (in case you have your own).
£875 pcm inclusive of bills, as above.
The bathroom bath and shower. I don't have a fancy camera to take a decent photo of it. The shower is a real delight to use – a hot waterfall with good pressure – and is a great way to finish or start the day.
It's a warm, friendly and relaxed environment here. That's the most important thing about this flat: how well the five of us who live here get along. Mostly it's quietly sociable, our place away from the rest of the world. It's the kind of place where you check if anyone needs to use the bathroom before jumping in the shower for 20 minutes and puts dirty dishes into the dishwasher. If that sounds like you please read on.
THE FLAT:
Flat has thermostatically controlled GCH, fast, reliable internet, double glazing and a well equipped modern kitchen including premium white goods. The kitchen, with its huge dining table, is the primary communal space in the flat. It's a little busier than in the pictures as we now have a storage cupboard, coffee machine, an extra fridge freezer, etc.). Kitchen opens directly out into the beautiful shared garden. There is also a small living room with large Smart TV, Netflix and so on, plus a curious cat and two baby tortoises!
THE LOCATION:
Location is 10-15 minutes walk across the Meadows from Bristo Square with a selection of good local shops including 2 supermarkets and several pubs and restaurants.
Sharing with two males and two females who get on well with people and are looking for someone to share the flat with.
Would suit mid-20s to mid-40s professional or mature student who's friendly, easy going and considerate.
If you're interested please email telling me a little about yourself and what you are looking for in a home and flatmate.
We can arrange a remote viewing by Facetime, Signal or WhatsApp if helpful.
Thanks for your interest,
Fred.
