Quite and peaceful Attic Room

We are not your average place to live; we are a Buddhist Centre based in the town centre of Attleborough. You don’t have to be Buddhist to live here, but to be respectful of our basic beliefs. We try to respect each other and be kind and in this way we will have a harmonious place to live.

We have a very cosy, quirky top floor attic room in a 400 years old Grade II listed house. It has a low ceiling and exposed wooden beams and a dormer window, which has secondary glazing, which make the room nice and peaceful from the local traffic.

As a resident you will have access to all of our classes, retreats and events at the centre. You will also have access to a shared kitchen, bathroom, washing machine (free) and a communal space as well as a courtyard garden, which gets the sun in the late afternoon. We also have a good broadband connection. All of your bills are included within your rent.

We do have some house rules which are, we meditate a lot so one of the conditions necessary is a peaceful environment. We have a no TV policy, but we do not mind if you watch and listen to things on your laptop. If you do listen to things on your laptop or listen to music, we would recommend headphones, as not to disturb others. We are a vegetarian household, so no meat or fish to be stored our consumed on the property. Everybody has to attend at least one meditation class per week; everyone has a house cleaning area and some community work, which normally adds up to five hours a week.
