Hi! I'm looking for a housemate to join my relaxed, friendly house-share with me and my two cats. I'm ideally looking for a cat lover who enjoys a calm, sociable and respectful home environment. I work part-time at the UEA alongside studying for a counselling degree.
The room comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The bed comes with a mattress however I didn't have it when taking the pictures. It's currently decorated but you're welcome to make it your own space!
Shared spaces include kitchen, bathroom, living areas (lounge and dining room) and garden.
Rent:
£650 pcm including bills
Deposit: £650
Bills include:
- gas/electric
- water
- internet
- council tax (Band A)
(Student preferred as this helps with council tax, but open to the right person. Student rent would be £550pcm)
Rent includes reasonable household utility usage. Because the property is electric, if electricity exceeds £200 in any month, we would split the excess equally. This just protects us both from extreme winter spikes.
Location:
- Good access to city centre and public transport
- Close to local shops/cafés
- Permit parking might be available but is limited, so may suit someone without a car (parking is not included in the rent)
Looking for someone tidy, considerate and easy-going who enjoys a relaxed and respectful home environment. I occasionally have friends over for dinner or drinks, so the house is sociable at times, but generally calm and comfortable day-to-day.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone who’d be happy to share the occasional meal, pub trip or evening hanging out, while also respecting each other’s space and independence. I’m hoping to find someone who feels more like a genuine housemate than simply a lodger.
I think open communication is important in a shared home, so I’d want us both to feel comfortable checking in occasionally to make sure things are working well for everyone.
If interested, please send a little information about yourself. I’d like to meet beforehand to make sure the house-share feels like a good fit for both of us.
I’m still doing some ongoing work on the house, though the bathroom is newly renovated and includes a washing machine.
