The slight downside is we are located in Scarborough, so approximately 40 miles away from York!

The upside is there are very regular train services between York and Scarborough, which only takes on average 50 minutes. Alternatively, there’s the option of lifts available through car sharing websites ... or even a fantastic bus service at only £2 each way.

As a result, we have students that live with us in Scarborough and travel to York, as the cost of renting is so much cheaper than in York. This situation is particularly popular with Masters / Post Graduate students, who do not need to go into the University very frequently, so the number of days travelling is minimised.
