Hi, I am Jane and I own this beautiful 5-bedroom property with my husband Dan. We are looking for a professional or a mature student for a spacious double room that we have to let from the start of October. You'll be sharing the facilities with us, Dan’s son, one other female lodger (a mature student) and our Labrador, Winnie.

I am completing a doctorate at Sheffield University. I am on a work placement in York and sometimes work from home. Dan runs his own business. His son has recently finished university and is also living in the house until February.

This large Victorian house is located on Fulford Road. It’s a 30-minute walk to York university campus, 15 minutes to Bishopthorpe Road and a 8-minute bus ride to the train station (No. 7 P&R, runs every 15 mins)

We are looking for a friendly and tidy lodger who will pay rent on time and treat the house like their home.

You’ll have use of the ground floor sitting room (comes with TV and comfy sofas) as well sharing the bathroom (that has both shower and bath).

Feel free to sit in the garden and enjoy the view.

Rent includes:

* All bills (gas, electricity, council tax and fast broadband)
* Weekly clean of all communal areas
* Free on-street parking on St. Oswalds Road
* Use of washing machine, dryer and heated drying racks in basement
* Basement for storage of large items (subject to agreement)
* Thick walls meaning the room is always quiet
