Spacious furnished double room in modern home

We have a furnished double room available in our modern three-storey detached home on the outskirts of Daventry, in a quiet location surrounded by countryside.

We're an easy-going couple living with our small labradoodle, and we're looking for someone who would like a comfortable, relaxed and genuinely homely place to live, rather than just a room in a house.

The bedroom is on the middle floor and comes furnished with a king-size bed, two wardrobes and a chest of drawers. There's also the option to make some additional space for a desk if you work from home.

There is a family bathroom on the same floor as the bedroom. We have our own en-suite, so the bathroom would generally be available to you, although we may occasionally use it as it has the only bath in the house!

You'll have shared use of the rest of the house, including a good-sized lounge and a large kitchen. We enjoy cooking and good music, and we're happy to have a chat or share a meal, but we're also very chilled and appreciate having our own space.

Outside, there's off-road parking and a good-sized southwest-facing garden, which gets plenty of afternoon and evening sun. The house itself is in a really quiet spot on the outskirts of Daventry, with countryside nearby while still being close enough to the town and local amenities.

We're open to a single person or a couple (subject to an additional monthly charge), and we'd also consider someone with a small, well-behaved pet.

The main thing for us is finding someone who fits well with the house and is looking for somewhere that feels like home. We're not a party house, but we're also not looking for a completely separate lodger who never wants to interact. Somewhere in the middle would be ideal.

And obviously, you need to be happy living with a small, friendly dog!
