Peaceful Double Room – Clean, Calm Home (Veg/Vegan

I'm looking for a housemate who genuinely values cleanliness, respect and a peaceful home. This is a two-bedroom flat shared with only me, so it's ideal if you're looking for a relaxed, comfortable place rather than a busy house share.

Cleanliness is my biggest priority, and I'm looking for someone who naturally lives the same way. One of the main house rules is absolutely no outdoor footwear inside the flat. Please either go barefoot, wear socks, or wear indoor slippers that are never worn outside.

I take this rule very seriously because outdoor shoes walk through everything imaginable every day—mud, dirt, rainwater, spilled drinks, dog mess, bird droppings, spit, urine and other things we can't always see. Bringing all of that onto the carpets and around the home defeats the purpose of having a clean living space. A home should feel fresh, comfortable and hygienic, not like the street outside. Unfortunately, many people don't think about this, so I'm specifically looking for someone who already shares this habit and understands why it's important.

I also like to keep the flat clean and tidy at all times, so I'm looking for someone who will help look after the property and treat it with respect.

I'm vegetarian, so I'd strongly prefer a vegetarian or vegan housemate. This is actually the main reason I moved out of my previous accommodation, as I found it difficult living around meat, so this preference is important to me.

As a person, I'm friendly, easy-going and enjoy a positive atmosphere at home. I'm always happy to have a chat, but I also completely respect personal space and understand that sometimes people just want to relax and do their own thing.

You'll have your own bathroom upstairs next to your bedroom. While the bathrooms aren't en-suite, we each have our own dedicated bathroom. I'd kindly ask that everyone uses their own bathroom, including visitors. My visitors will use mine, and yours should use yours, so we both have our own space.
