About the Upstairs Bedroom:
The double bedroom is very bright and features a large, new, south facing double window overlooking a beautiful garden. It features: a new carpet, new radiator, new wardrobe, new bedside drawers, new desk, new bed frame for a king size bed, and a refurbished built-in wardrobe. The room is customisable.
About the Neighborhood:
The friendly house is very conveniently located just north of the city center and NTU. Many local shops, restaurants, and other services are located all within walking distance, e. g. Sainesbury’s, Lidl, Tescos, Wilkos, Co-op, and many other independent small shops in Sherwood center. Nottingham City Hospital is also within walking distance. Public transport to the city center and NTU is just a 5 minute walk away and only takes 10 minutes (or less) by bus (buses 15, 16, and 17) to get there. The distance to the city center is about 1.6 miles. There is a free bus called the Medilink to the University of Nottingham. The house features a south facing garden and receives a lot of natural light, a modern shared kitchen, washer+dryer and other appliances, shared bathrooms, shared living room, and a shared south facing garden with terrace.
About the Tenants:
The current residents are a (male) Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Nottingham and two (female) students studying for a masters degree at Nottingham Trent University. One of the masters students is moving back to India. The ideal lodger is a balance between social, hard working, tidy, and prefers the shared spaces to be very clean. The current lodger would prefer another female. Also, the lodger screening process will factor in the high standard of cleanliness in the shared spaces, especially the kitchen and the bathroom. Everyone is expected to contribute to the house chores, e. g., cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and not leaving dirty dishes etc. Current residents are vegan or vegetarian. The rent increases by £30/pcm for those that eat meat.
The landlord has a YouTube Channel where you can get a good preview of his personality. Search for "Bob Laramee" on Youtube. Also you can find a video walkthrough of the property on YouTube if you search for "61 Teesdale Road". (No URLs are allowed in the description here.)
No dogs allowed, however, other small pets will be considered. There is currently a cat, King Kenny, dominating the house.
