A unique opportunity to secure a room in a spacious 3 storey character property on Crescent Road, 15 mins walk to the heart of Cowley and only 15 minute bus trip to the City Center. 2mins walk to John Radcliffe hospitals and Brookes Uni bus route.

All utility bills, council tax and full fibre WiFi are included in the price of 800.
Current tenants are easy going, friendly, professional males.

The room is currently in the process of being completed, so the en-suite bathroom will be new and includes a large shower; basin, towel radiator and loo. The house is also fitted with a water softener.

The bedroom itself is on the 1st floor and looks out over the back garden. It is a large room (see attached plan) and would come fully furnished with Superking bed, Emma pocket spring mattress & wardrobe.

The bright and spacious kitchen/dining room is a shared space with plenty of cupboard storage, high quality appliances, including a dishwasher and even a built in coffee machine!

A small utility space located off the dining area includes a washing machine and tumble dryer.

There is currently no living room available to use but this will become available in the Autumn.

To be completely transparent, I’m currently improving the rest of the house so there would be some DIY work in progress at weekends and during the week occasionally. I currently spend all my spare money on the house and the intention is to have everything finished next year so that all my roommates and I can enjoy the house to its full potential!

I also have a small dog named ‘Granger’ the mini schnauzer, who is very sweet; but if you’re not a dog person, then this room probably isn’t for you!

Obviously the DIY aspect may be off-putting to some, however the house will be improving all the time and all the habitable areas are kept clean and tidy at all times. When things are complete, I will be hiring a full time cleaner as I did previously, before the renovation works.

Given all of the above, viewings are obviously recommended to get a feel for the place, meet Granger and see whether it’s for you. I’ve priced the room accordingly for now to reflect the unusual circumstances.

Viewings will be possible from beginning of June onwards and I will be selecting any potential roommates very carefully as I’d want them to be totally happy and also ensure they’re the right fit for the house. I’m keen to find someone who would like to stay longer term and understands what is on offer here.

By April 2027 I intend to rent one more room, bringing the total no of occupant's to 5, including myself.
Maximum stay prior to a rent review: 1 year. After 1 year I plan to evaluate progress on the house and adjust monthly rates accordingly.
