I'm looking for one friendly, considerate housemate to share a Victorian terrace in a quiet part of East Oxford.
It's a classic East Oxford layout, full of character, and there will only be two of us living here. I'm hoping to find someone who's looking for somewhere that feels like home, rather than just somewhere to rent a room and I'd like whoever moves in to feel comfortable making the shared spaces feel like home too. I'm pretty relaxed about that. My only real expectatioxn is that we both look after the place and treat it with a bit of respect.

The room:
The double bedroom is on the first floor and comes furnished with:
Double bed
Bedside table
Large built-in wardrobes (recently fitted)
The room is ready to move straight into.
One of the biggest advantages of the house is the layout. As I have an ensuite upstairs, you'll have what is effectively your own family-sized bathroom on the first floor, complete with a full-size bath, separate shower, toilet and basin.

Alongside your bedroom, you'll also have use of a separate room that's perfect as a home office, reading room or quiet workspace. It can also occasionally be use as a guest room for friends or family to come and stay when needed.

The house
The house is on a quiet residential street within the LTN, so there's very little traffic and it's a peaceful place to come home to.
The kitchen includes:
Gas hob and oven
Microwave
Dishwasher
Large fridge freezer
Washing machine
Tumble dryer
Outside is a lovely private garden that's a real sun trap and one of the nicest places to sit with a coffee or unwind after work. We would both share looking after the house and garden, and there's a shed with a lawnmower and basic gardening tools to make that easy.

A little about me:
I'm in my 30s and work locally at a bakery so my work days can start early with weekend working as well.
I'd describe myself as pretty relaxed and easy-going. I enjoy spending time with friends, and you'll often find us in one of the local pubs. You're always welcome to join us if you're around.
I'm currently turning the shed into a little art studio, so I enjoy being creative and making the most of the space.
This is very much a home rather than a show home. I'm not precious about everything being perfect all the time—I'd much rather live with someone who's considerate, comfortable and easy to get along with than worry about the little things.
I'm also a smoker, although I only smoke outside.

Ultimately, I'm just looking for someone who's thoughtful, easy going and chilled to live with—someone who wants a relaxed, comfortable home where we both naturally look out for the place and each other.
If successful, you will have a standard tenancy agreement. The landlord is a personal friend of mine who lives just around the corner, so if anything ever needs sorting, it's usually dealt with quickly and without any fuss.
