Female Flatmate (26-34yo) wanted end July/August

Hello!

My name is Irene (pronounced "ee REH neh" haha). I am a 30-year-old Spanish nurse (I'll be 31 by the time you move in) who is looking for a flatmate to join me in the household at “my” lovely flat in Headington/Marston area. My current flatmate is moving out, but I would love to keep the rent of the place as it has been my home for the last 7 years.

FLAT
The flat itself is nicely decorated and easy to maintain in terms of tidying and cleaning. There is a balcony and plenty of windows, which is lovely for getting natural light and fresh air in the summer. The flat is in a quiet building so, unfortunately, unsuitable for parties. It is great to have people over for dinner or to enjoy a board game/movie night, though. Overall, I like to see this place as a nice, quiet refuge to relax and disconnect from the world after busy and rushed days at work.

ROOM
A double bedroom with a big window towards the back garden, which is very tranquil. It has a decent-sized built-in wardrobe. It doesn’t have a desk, but there is room to fit one if you need one, and there is room to fit more furniture, like a chest of drawers - which is, as you can see, what my current flatmate has done.

She has bought all the furniture for the advertised room (including the bed and mattress, which are super comfy!). She is moving out of the country, so if you are interested/like anything, she will be happy to sell it to you. It would be a win-win situation! If not, the room comes with a bed (not the one pictured, the landlord would have to buy one before you move in) and a bedside table.

FLATMATE
Professionals preferred.
Although I am very sociable and chatty, I appreciate time for myself, so equally will also respect your privacy and “me-time”. Having said this, I enjoy the occasional movie or games night with takeaway. I usually work Mondays to Thursdays and go to the gym after work. I always enjoy a nice catch-up at the end of the day.
I love to travel always try to have a little getaway weekend every couple of months. I have a nice group of friends in Oxford but I’m always open to meeting new people and trying things. I also love live music and going to concerts is one of my favourite activities. Finding a gym buddy or someone would like to attend concerts with me would be nice!
I am very clean and tidy, and it is very important to me to find someone who is also (at least in the communal areas!). In the past, arranging cleaning schedules and sharing responsibility has worked very well. I think communication is key in a houseshare specially when there is only two of us!

LOCATION
It is a great location, especially for JR hospital workers. It is about a 15-minute walk to Headington Shops and about 30-40 minutes nice, easy walk through University Parks to the city centre. There are plenty of bus lines close by that will connect you to different parts of Oxford quite quickly. It is also near the ring road, and the building complex has a garage that will be for your use as I don’t own a car – I would only need room for my bicycle which I never really use.

PRICE
The rent comes up to approximately 850ppm with bills (640ppm rent, 110pppm council tax, 95pppm approx for utility bills & broadband) although this will vary throughout the year as expected and is dependable on landlord's rent increase on renewal of the tenancy contract.
