Two doubles in friendly house off Iffley Road

Looking for two new houses mates for a friendly 3 bedroom house with character just off Iffley Road, offering two furnished rooms available from 1-7 October (see below).

It’s a beautiful ~130YO house with wooden floors, an open fire place, big shared living room, large kitchen, spacious study room for working from home, a front porch for storing bikes and a big garden with a patio to enjoy summer meals outside. The house is located in a beautiful quiet area within 15min walk to the bus to London/airports and large super-market, 3min walk to the river and Iffley Sports Centre, 10mins cycle to Hinksey lake or to town centre, with a Coop shop and bus-stop to town just around the corner. As you step outside, you can see distant Radcliffe Camera.

I am a friendly mid-30s scientist (I work as a postdoc at the Department of Biochemistry) who has lived in Oxford since 2018, and for 4 years in the house. Previous housemates have lived here 3-6 years before deciding to move out. I am now looking for friendly, respectful, tidy (above all!) and relaxed house mates who want to make the house feel like a proper and welcoming home. I would be happy with Uni employees coming from abroad as I once have.

Room 1 - large:
Available from 7 October. Rent £695.5. A cosy large double at the front of the house. Includes a wardrobe, mirror, draws, beside draws and a bedframe with a mattress.

Room 2 - small:
Available from 1 to 7 October. Rent £638. A cosy double room with a view over gardens and local nunnery, and trees all the way to the river. It has a wardrobe, floor length mirror, draws and bed. Currently there is no mattress, but if you do not have one we can discuss sorting one (e. g. asking the landlord or former housemates).

We have a very good relationship with the landlord that lives abroad and appreciates stability over rent increase. The house is managed by an agency; they are quick at sorting things out any time something breaks. Parking is available, as it is possible to get permits if wanted, the house is in Council Tax Band E.
