Double room available in bright and spacious house

We are looking for a kind, relaxed, respectful housemate with whom to share a bright and spacious house in Oxford. We are researchers and professionals working at the intersection of geography, ecology, mathematics, creative writing, and Buddhist philosophy; we love yoga, meditation, and wild swimming in Port Meadow and Hinksey Lake. We enjoy meeting people from all backgrounds and are open to sharing with both students and professionals.

The double room advertised is £816/month (excluding bills), and is available from 21st June. The bills (water, gas, electricity, and wifi) are approximately £80/month all year round, and the council tax is approximately £75/month (this house is Band D).

Note: this house has a fourth bedroom, which will be occupied until the end of August this year (and likely from January to June next year) by our lovely friend María, an artist who is studying for a creative writing degree in Oxford. While María is staying here, the rent, bills, and council tax will be split fourways rather than threeways, so the rent for the bedroom advertised will be reduced to approximately £600/month, and the total for bills and council tax to approximately £120/month.

The house is fully furnished, with the bedroom advertised having a double bed, desk and chair, and storage space. There is a cosy living room and a large kitchen, which backs onto a patio and garden. (The photographs uploaded here are from when we moved in - the house is more colourful and decorated now, and the bedroom has a new double bed and mattress.)

We live in a convenient and central location, and also right by several peaceful waterways and footpaths: we're just a five minute cycle to Port Meadow and an eight minute cycle to Wytham Woods, and close to Hinksey Lake too. Our house is next to a Waitrose and Nisa Local, and just down the road from an Aldi. The train station is ten minutes’ walk away, and the city centre is another five minutes' walk beyond the train station.
