Hello there!
I am renting out my beautiful converted attic room in the wonderful village of Lochwinnoch. It is very big, king-size room with lots of storage space should you need it. It also has a beautiful desk over-looking the country side. And I have ordered a soft seat for your comfort. It would be a great bedroom/office/lounge space for the right person.
There is one shared bathroom in the house. Shared open plan living room / kitchen with open fire place! We have access to front and back garden with huge trampoline and fire pit.
You would be staying with myself and my son (age 11) and our 2 very cuddly cats. So preferably I am looking for someone who is reasonably good with children/ (going on teenager) in our family home. Someone who is tidy and respectful.
We are looking for someone who may share similar interests and values. We enjoy home cooked meals with occasional communal eating, with other families and friends. But we also like our quiet, and more intimate evening meal times together.
I am a yoga teacher and am interested in Spirituality, Religion, Philosophy, Psychology and the Creative Arts. I love music, singing, dancing and festivals. We have loads of instruments lying around and sometimes host jam nights. We both love being outside, going on nature walks, wild saunas and the occasional wild swim!
My son is into tricking, gaming, Greek mythology, reading, bushcraft, anime, drawing and drama. It would be great to meet someone who may share some of our interests or perhaps can open us up to new ideas, experiences and ways to enjoy life.
This would be a perfect place for you if you are looking to get outside of the city, have a better quality of life close to nature, while also having easy access to Glasgow. Perhaps you need a healing and restorative cosy nest for the winter.
I am open to both short and long term letting. I would be keen to have a 1 month trial period to see how we both adapt to living together, then adding more time on as we both see is suitable.
Lochwinnoch itself is a great place to live, there are many creative people living here and community projects happening. It is a lively and forward moving community. There are plenty of beautiful walks, rivers, and waterfalls to explore if you are into that too.
There is a train station which is about a 20 minute walk from my place and that gets you into Glasgow in 25 minutes (2 per hour), bus links and close to Glasgow airport. The village has a few cafes, shops, barber, bakery and community larder. There are lots of bike trails and the RSPB bird sanctuary.
Finally the cost would include all your bills plus fortnightly cleaning too.
