A comfortable, fully furnished small single room is available in a friendly, relaxed townhouse less than a mile from Shrewsbury town centre.

The room would be particularly well suited to someone working in Shrewsbury during the week, undertaking a hospital or professional placement, starting a new job in the area, or simply looking for an affordable and welcoming home base. It is a genuinely small room, rather than a disguised ballroom, and the rent reflects its size.

The room is comfortably furnished with a Victorian-style cast-iron single bed, a large dressing table with drawers, bedside table, chair and hanging space for clothes.

A shared bathroom with both bath and shower is directly opposite. The house is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of Shrewsbury railway station and the town centre, with excellent public transport links. Riverside walks, countryside and cycle paths are only a few minutes away, while local shops, pubs and takeaways are close at hand.

We are a friendly, easy-going household who enjoy the occasional chat or shared cup of tea, while fully respecting one another’s privacy and independence. The atmosphere is relaxed, but we all contribute to keeping the shared areas pleasant and reasonably tidy. Culinary experiments may occasionally take place in the kitchen, but the wreckage is always cleared afterwards.

The house is comfortably furnished and has full central heating, very fast fibre broadband and Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer and a kitchen containing enough gadgets to launch a modest television cookery programme.

There is also a garden, off-street parking and, by separate agreement, possible use of the secure garage. We have a cleaner once a fortnight to clean the shared areas.
The rent is £350 per calendar month and includes all household bills, broadband and the fortnightly cleaner.
No smoking inside the house. The room is suitable for one person only.

We are looking for someone considerate, friendly and independent who would enjoy living in a comfortable family home rather than an anonymous house share.
