Spacious Shrewsbury home with garden

My current housemate will soon be moving abroad so I’m on the hunt for someone to join me in renting my beautiful home in Shrewsbury.

The house is in the charming Coleham/Belle Vue neighbourhood in Shrewsbury and just a 10 minute or so walk across the river and into the town. The neighbourhood itself is calm and quiet, but there’s a couple of good local pubs about, a small off licence which is less than a 10 minute walk, easy access to supermarkets and a winding nature reserve close by for morning strolls.

The room is a bright and light decent sized double with a large window that looks out across the garden. It comes unfurnished but there’s a built in wardrobe and a lovely old fireplace feature.

The house itself has a shared living room, a separate dining room and utility space, a mini downstairs WC and a separate kitchen towards the back of the house. The main two double bedrooms (including yours) are upstairs along with a bathroom. The house feels very spacious for two people living in it.

I’ve been house sharing now since I was 18 (mostly in London) so know how to live communally. I’m a clean and respectful housemate so am definitely looking for someone that lives like this too. I like my house to feel like a home and get a lot of joy from making a space look and feel good. Bonus points if you have an eye for interiors!

I’d describe myself as very outgoing, social and warm. I love bringing friends together for dinner parties at home (very happy to find a new co-host) and meeting new people out and about but am equally happy having some downtime with a book and cuppa at home. In my free time, I love getting out exploring the Shropshire Hills (just a short drive or train ride away!), wondering around art galleries and museums, travelling further afield or staying closer to home, and can be found perched outside one of my favourite coffee shops in town.

I’m looking for someone that will be a good fit on a longer term basis who may like to take over my housemate’s tenancy and ideally, am looking to live with another woman who’s a similar age.
