Cosy room available in a home in Castle Cary, ideally suited to a working professional, postgraduate or mature student.

Short and longer-term lets considered, and I can be flexible if you have some or all of your own furniture.

Bills are included, except gas.

The house has:

Well-trained and friendly dogs are the only pets that would be considered. 🐶

Castle Cary station is on the mainline rail route with direct services to London (1hour,25mins!) and Bath (50mins), Bristol (1hour 10mins), making it a great base for commuters, hybrid workers from London and anyone who works from home. Easy access to local towns including Frome and Burton.

The house is currently being upgraded, with the kitchen being renovated and a new en-suite being added to the top-floor master bedroom and will be finished by end of September.

I’m not at the property very often, so I’m particularly looking for people who are trustworthy, responsible and respectful of the house. It would suit someone independent who enjoys having their own space rather than a busy shared-house atmosphere.

Castle Cary is a lovely Somerset market town with a strong independent feel. There are plenty of independent cafés, a fantastic deli and wine shop, a local pharmacy, art galleries, a Tuesday market and an excellent local butcher, as well as pubs and other useful amenities within the town.

The gorgeous Newt in Somerset estate is only a few minutes away, with vast gardens, beautiful walking routes and some seriously good Somerset cider. There is no garden at the house itself, but beautiful countryside is right on the doorstep, with lots of nearby walking routes.

No smoking and no burning candles inside the property.
