I'm looking for one or two friendly and tidy housemates to share my lovely three-bedroom home (one double and one small double room available) in Long Ashton.
The house is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes' walk from the local shops, cafés and bus stops, and right by the cycle path into Bristol. Bristol city centre is around 15 minutes by bike, making it easy to enjoy everything the city has to offer while coming home to the peace and greenery of Long Ashton. Ashton Court Estate is just down the road, with beautiful woodland walks, open parkland and miles of walking, running and cycling routes right on the doorstep.
I'm open to both short and long-term stays, so whether you're settling into Bristol, relocating or simply exploring the city for a few months, I'd love to hear from you.
The house has a cosy living room, a spacious kitchen diner, a bright conservatory with another sofa for relaxing and a generous garden. It's somewhere I genuinely enjoy coming home to, and I'm hoping to find people who feel the same.
More than anything, I'd love this to feel like a home rather than just a house share. It would be lovely to occasionally cook dinner together, watch a film or have a chat over a cup of tea, but equally I completely understand that after a busy day everyone sometimes just wants to switch off and recharge. I'm looking for people who are friendly, respectful, tidy and enjoy that balance.
You'll also be sharing with Feivel, my wonderful little rescue dog. He's calm, affectionate and very much part of the family, so you'll need to be someone who genuinely likes dogs. I also regularly look after my friend’s dog and do weekend fostering for the local dog shelter so an animal lover would enjoy this home most.
A little about me: I'm in my thirties and work for a charity based in Bristol, so I'm usually in the office three or four days a week. Outside work I'm happiest outdoors. I love kayaking, walking, paddle boarding, spending time with animals and generally keeping active. I also co-host a weekly meditation group, which is something I really enjoy. Having said that, I'm equally happy curling up on the sofa after a busy day with a good series or film and enjoying a quiet evening at home.
I'm vegan and the house is meat, fish and egg free. I ask that those foods aren't brought into the house.
One thing that would make me especially happy would be finding someone who's interested in fostering rescue dogs or other animals together. Absolutely not a requirement though.
If you're looking for a warm, relaxed home with good conversation, respect for each other's space, plenty of greenery and a four-legged friend, I'd love to hear from you. I would also consider pets (not cats sorry because of my dog), but this would very much depend on how Feivel gets on with them and their general temperament.
