This is a very large room (30m2) on the first floor of a grade II, listed, country house. It has a westerly aspect overlooking the garden/orchard and catches the afternoon sun. It is centrally heated and warm. This is not a shared house’ in the usual sense. There is no communal living area. . Instead, you have greater privacy and the option of socialising within the room. The room is on a wing dedicated exclusively to tenants and with its own front door. We are live in landlords (retired professionals) and we occupy the main house. However, there is a connecting door to us and we are, usually, available for a chat over coffee if there is anything you wish to discuss.

Should you wish to work from home there is broadband with excellent speeds. The ‘Open Reach’ fibre optic box is only 40m away from the house and there is a landline also. You could run a business from here and many have.

While the current pandemic persists, we follow strict hygiene rules. A cleaner comes in to clean common areas twice per week and ktchen surfaces are cleaned after every use.

There is an extensive garden and orchard available for tenants and a plot to dig if anyone is keen on gardening.

White Street is a quiet country lane on the edge of the conservation village of North Curry. Our house is opposite the village cricket pitch. The village has a pub/restaurant, health centre, shop and tea room. The church overlooks the Somerset Levels and is nicknamed ‘the cathedral of the moors’. There are a number of societies and sports clubs and the pub is a popular focus of social life..

Our home would suit a single working person who enjoys rural tranquility.
