V. Large room in listed house, Somerset Levels.

This is a very large room (30m2) with a small lobby and large, en suite, bathroom . It is on the first floor of a grade II, listed, country house in the pretty conservation village of North Curry. The room has two large windows with a westerly aspect that overlooks the garden/orchard and catches the afternoon sun. The room is centrally heated and warm. The rooms are enormous with access to extensive gardens. This arrangement affords more private living. This room, for example is the only one off this first floor landing. However, there are four other sharers on the second floor and, us on the ground floor. It is an easy going, happy and very well behaved community with no ‘difficult’ characters. There is, usually, someone around if you feel like a chat over coffee. The room is on a wing dedicated exclusively to tenants with its own front and rear doors and hallway. We are live in landlords (retired) and we occupy the main house which is accessed through a connecting door to us. We respect your privacy but keep a gentle and friendly eye on things to ensure harmony and decent living for everyone.

For those looking to work from home there is broadband (the ‘Open Reach’ box is only 40m away) and there is a landline also. You could run a business from here and many have.

A cleaner comes in to clean common areas once per week.

There is an extensive, well maintained, garden and orchard available for tenants to enjoy and a plot to dig if anyone is keen on gardening.

White Street is a quiet country lane on the edge of the conservation village of North Curry just south of Taunton. Our house is opposite the cricket pitch. The village has a pub/restaurant, health centre, shop and tea room. The church overlooks the Somerset Levels and is nicknamed ‘the cathedral of the moors’. There are a number of societies and sports clubs and the pub is a popular focus of social life. There is a morning and late afternoon bus service from the village into Taunton and Langport.

Our home would suit a single working person who enjoys the rural tranquility of the Somerset Levels.
