Double room at the back of a 3 bedroom semi-detached house available for up to 6 months.

The room has a double bed with storage space within it and a rail for clothes. The table in the photo is optional. If you have your own wardrobe that's fine to bring.

Rent is inclusive of wifi, gas, electric and water, but not council tax. As a student I dont have to pay council tax until January 2027 so if you need to pay it, it will be an additional £150.00 a month in 2026, then from Jan onwards I'll pay most of it and your share would be £50.00 a month.

You'll be sharing with me (Cathy), a full time PhD student (soon to be finishing!) I work at home 2 days a week and it's fine if you need to work from home too (there's a table you can use in the backroom downstairs if you like so that your bedroom can stay work free.)

The house is welcoming and relaxing with two bathrooms (shower and toilet in each), a living room and a lounge. There is not a shared TV though and no TV licence.

The garden could do with someone who has a clue to help it so if you are interested in gardening it's all yours. Otherwise its fine just to sit and look at it all like I do! There's a shed at the back if you want to keep a bike there.

Most importantly I have a dog and a cat and if you are not an animal person this house is unlikely to suit you.

I'm also veggie so ideally looking for someone who is too or who doesnt want to cook lots of meat/fish at home.

In terms of lifestyle, my partying days are over and I'm more of an early morning than late night person (but I'm very considerate of anyone who wants to get up late). I'm looking for someone who is used to sharing and is considerate in terms of tidiness and noise (as I am).

Pill itself is a village 5 miles outside of Bristol. The X4 bus connects to Bristol and Portishead. If you cycle you can use the cycle path to Bristol too. Pill is quiet, friendly and very community focused. It has a monthly market, a cafe, gym, and lots of classes (yoga/choir/weights etc).

I might be moving next year so I'm only looking for short term let at the moment. If for example you just need a stop gap between places then that's fine with me.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Cathy
