Lovely, bright furnished double room available in a spacious maisonette in TA2, very conveniently located for Taunton railway station, the town centre and local transport links, including connections for Hinkley Point C.

£750 per calendar month, including bills and WiFi. Female lodger , single occupancy.

The room is a good-sized double with a comfortable double bed, bedside tables, desk and chair, shelving and plenty of useful under-bed storage. It’s light and comfortable, with enough space to work from home occasionally if needed.

You’ll have your own private WC, with the large shower room shared with the household. The shower room has a fantastic walk-in rainfall shower.

There is a large kitchen/dining room which is fully stocked with everything you need, so there’s no need to bring pots, pans, plates, cutlery or kitchen equipment. Just bring your food! You’re welcome to use the oven, hob, microwave, air fryer and other kitchen equipment, and you’ll have your own fridge in the kitchen.

There’s also a washing machine available for use.

Parking is available with no permit required, which is a real bonus for somewhere so convenient for the station.

There isn’t a shared sitting room, so this would particularly suit someone fairly independent who is looking for a comfortable home base rather than a traditional communal house share.

You’ll be sharing the home with me, my university-age daughter when she’s home, and my two dogs - A golden retriever and a shitzu.

You genuinely must LOVE dogs, rather than simply like or tolerate them! 🐾 They’re very much part of the household, so this wouldn’t suit somebody who would prefer dogs to be kept out of the way.

I’m friendly and sociable and very happy to chat when our paths cross, but equally happy for us both to get on with our own lives. There’s no expectation to socialise. I’m looking for someone with a similar outlook: friendly, considerate, clean and independent, who wants somewhere relaxed and comfortable to call home.

The location is particularly convenient for anyone working locally, commuting by train or working at Hinkley Point C, with excellent transport connections close by.
