*The space is available as a weekend let only, it's available from Friday - Tuesday each week and we can agree in person how many nights per week. This could be every weekend or just 1 - 4/5 times per month. I know the availability is unusual as we are offering weekends instead of weekdays but I know all our situations are unique so thought it worth putting it out there. We can therefore agree a monthly amount based upon anticipated agreed nights stayed per month.

**During covid-19 we can remain essentially as 2 completely separate households. The only area that I would need to access is the washing machine/dryer a few times a week. Otherwise we can manage not sharing all other areas.

Our annex has a private entrance and is in West Horrington, a small Hamlett set within the Mendip Hills, just under 3 miles north of Wells. The 173 stops at the end of the village and takes you to either Wells or Bath.

The private areas of the annex are a bedroom with seating area with a door that leads out onto a decked area overlooking the Tor and a kitchenette with breakfast bar area, also overlooking the Tor. The utilities and bathroom are the only shared areas - the bathroom is rarely used by us (and won't be at all during covid) but I do use the washing machine/dryer throughout the week - we can agree convenient times.   

The Annex is a really lovely, comfortable and homely place to be and the village is really peaceful with stunning views across the Somerset levels to Glastonbury Tor from both the kitchenette and bedroom. 

In the living/bedroom there is a king size pocket sprung bed and lovely Panda memory foam (hydro foam) bamboo mattress topper (the specifications are in one of the images). We know everyone's bed type is unique but we love it. It is King sized - so plenty of room, there is no rolling in to each other as it's a firm pocket sprung matress and on top of this we have the beautiful bamboo memory foam mattress topper. We hope you'll love it as much as we do and have lovely restful nights sleep!

There are drawers, no wardrobe but there are plenty of hooks and hangers in the space, there are shelves, coffee tables, mood and bright lighting and your own front door to both the decked area and the drive. 

During the week (Tues - Friday) the space is used as my therapy room. There is definitely a theme of well-being in the room!

*The annex is unfortunately not an ideal space if you experience any difficulty with mobility. Stairs link each room as the studio's layout is on multiple levels.   

The Wi-Fi connection works well for us, for our family use, but is not yet super fast broadband - this should be coming soon.  The Wifi you recieve is via a ‘devolo’ repeater; around ~5Mbps down, ~1 up. Mobile coverage varies and depending on the network you may need to stand next to a window. I would suggest that if a fast connection is important for your stay then this may not be the place for you.

The kitchenette is in two parts; the main section is next to your bed/living room. In it are the front door to the studio and a back door leading to our family garden. The breakfast bar, kettle, toaster, microwave (with grill) and fridge (no freezer) are also based in this area. 

The main kitchenette space leads into two adjoining rooms, where you will find the sink, crockery, cutlery, washing machine, dryer, bins etc.

There is no oven but there is a single induction hob and a 'slow cooker' available on request. If new to slow cookers it is a one pot cooker, you pop the ingredients in 4-8 hours before needed and it safely slow cooks them while you sleep/adventure.. When you wake up/arrive home you have a delicious warm meal ready for you.  I think it's absolutely brilliant and it retains more nutrients in your food too!

You then continue on through to your bathroom which has an electric shower, mirrors, toilet, towels and towel rail.

The bedroom and main kitchenette have their own electric heating and retain heat well in the winter - so in your main space you can enjoy the temperature that suits you throughout your stay. The extended kitchenette has its own oil heater radiator (as well as one connected to our heating system) and the bathroom has radiators which are connected to our own system and a separately controlled towel rail... These areas struggle more with retaining heat in the winter, as many old cottages do. Additional electric heaters can be provided. 

Please note that we do have a steep drive. Depending on your car you may need/wish to leave your car in 1st gear while parked facing up the drive. 

We are a family of 5 and though essentially are separate from the annex we will always do our very best to accommodate/help as much as possible. We share an adjoining door which opens onto the utility space; this remains locked unless we need to access the washing machine/dryer. We are friendly and here if needed but otherwise will leave you to be as private as you wish.
