Double Room Available - LGBTQ+ friendly

I’m looking for the right person to share my small two-bedroom home in Splott, just off Newport Road, with good public transport links and limited street parking nearby.

The room available is a double bedroom with some built-in wardrobe space and currently has a desk in it. It’s mostly unfurnished at the moment, but I can provide a bed (if you prefer for it to be furnished). The room is very much a blank canvas, and I’m open to you decorating or personalising it to your taste (within reason and with prior agreement).

I’m quite flexible around arrangements. In the past I’ve had a housemate who only stayed weekends, and I’m also open to short-term lets or alternative setups if the fit is right. (Open to discussing)

I own the house, which is a small but cosy two-bedroom place on a quiet street, with access to a small courtyard garden.

I also share the house with my small rescue dog, so it’s important that you’re comfortable around dogs and ideally a bit of a dog person - I need someone who is understanding of his routines / needs. Occasionally helping with dog care could be a bonus, and I’d be happy to discuss some rent flexibility at times if that’s something you’d be open to.

Because the house is fairly compact and the bedrooms are close together, it would probably suit someone who doesn’t mainly work from home to maintain good living balance.

A bit about me: I’m trans masculine (they/he) and this is a LGBTQ+ welcoming home, so queer housemates are very welcome. Mature students would also be welcome to get in touch.

More than anything, I’m hoping to find someone who feels like a good fit for the space and a compatible person to live with. I’m happy to consider short-term arrangements initially if that helps make sure it’s the right match for both of us.
