Large double in Splott

I'm a philosophy lecturer and I'm going to be on research leave September-December 2026. I'll be away from Cardiff for much of that time, staying with my partner, who lives away. So, you'll often have the house to yourself.

The available bedroom is the large double room in the pictures - my room is the loft room (not pictured). There is a shower room on the first floor as well as a bathroom downstairs with a bathtub. There's also a garden.

Ideally, I'd like to find someone who needs a place to stay just for the months I'll be on leave - i. e. until around January. But I'm open to sharing for up to a year. I'd prefer just one lodger, but couples are welcome to apply. The rent for a couple is £800 for the room (i. e. £400 each).

I'm open to eating together if you like, and more generally living in a cooperative way.

Some things I like: vegetables (I'm a veggie), jazz, poetry, sport, chess, classical music, film. I speak a bit of Italian, and Catalan, a dw'in dysgu cymraeg.

The house is in Council Tax band D, though the tax and all bills are included in the rent.
