I’m looking for a friendly, respectful professional to share my spacious two-bedroom flat in Cardiff city centre.

Situated on the third floor of a Grade II-listed building, the flat offers far more space than many city-centre apartments while retaining plenty of character. I’ve lived here for a number of years and genuinely enjoy calling it home. I’ve put a lot of care into creating a comfortable, welcoming space, so finding the right person is more important to me than simply filling the room. I’m hoping to find someone who’s looking to genuinely share a home and enjoy everything city centre living has to offer.

👋 About Me

I’m a full-time professional who mainly works from the office Monday to Friday, although I occasionally work from home too. Because of this, I think the flat would best suit someone in a similar position who primarily works from the office but may also work from home from time to time.

One of my favourite things about living here is being able to make the most of Cardiff city centre. Whether it’s trying a new restaurant, meeting friends for a drink, catching a show or simply wandering around the city, there’s always something to enjoy. Equally, I really appreciate quieter evenings at home and simply relaxing after work.

🛏️ The Room

The available room is a bright and spacious double bedroom, offered semi-furnished, currently including:

* Double bed and mattress
* Double wardrobe
* Chest of drawers

The room is offered with the furniture shown in the photographs. Should you wish to bring your own bedroom furniture, you’re welcome to do so, although you’d be responsible for disposal of the existing furniture if required.
The room benefits from new double-glazed tilt-and-turn windows, providing plenty of natural light while helping to keep the flat comfortable and quiet.

❤️ Why You’ll Love Living Here

One of the things I love most about the flat is how spacious it feels. Unlike many city-centre apartments, there’s plenty of room to enjoy your own space, with a generous open-plan living area that comfortably accommodates separate spaces for relaxing, dining and working from home.

The flat has recently benefited from a number of improvements, including:

* Brand-new flooring throughout
* Newly refurbished bathroom with a bath/shower
* New double-glazed tilt-and-turn windows throughout
* Upgraded heating and boiler
* Fully equipped kitchen with oven, integrated fridge freezer and washing machine
* Sky Superfast 80 broadband

The property is electric only (there is no gas supply).

📍 Location

Living in the heart of Cardiff city centre means everything is within easy walking distance, including:

* Cardiff Central Station – approximately 5 minutes
* St Mary Street – approximately 2 minutes
* Principality Stadium – approximately 2 minutes
* Cardiff Castle & Bute Park – approximately 5 minutes
* Cardiff Market – approximately 5 minutes
* Queen Street Station – approximately 12–15 minutes

You’ll also have cafés, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, gyms and shops just moments from the front door.

Despite being in the city centre, the flat is quieter than you might expect. During the summer months, you’ll also occasionally be able to hear performances from Cardiff Castle, which is a nice bonus without having to leave home.

🚗 Parking

The property doesn’t include private parking. However, residents may be eligible to apply for an on-street residents’ parking permit through Cardiff Council, subject to eligibility and availability.

🤝 Who I’m Looking For

I’d ideally like to live with someone who’s looking to genuinely share a home rather than simply rent a room. I’m looking for one individual only, as I’d like the flat to remain a two-person household.

It would be great to live with someone who’s friendly, enjoys a chat from time to time and is happy to make the most of living in the city every now and then, while also respecting that we both have our own friends, hobbies and lives.

I’m also looking for someone who takes pride in where they live and is happy to contribute equally to keeping the household running smoothly, whether that’s looking after the shared spaces or staying on top of rent and bills. I think that’s what makes for the best house shares.
