Lovely Double Room in Victorian House - Canton

I’m looking for a lovely person to share my home with.

I’m 42, a business owner and designer, and the house is a characterful Victorian 3-bedroom house with a garden. It’s just me and my two cats, Baby and Bear, at the moment - so you’d only be sharing with one other person, rather than a house full of flatmates.

The house has lots of character and some lovely features, including a roll-top bath, American-style fridge freezer, log burner, garden and separate laundry room. It’s cosy, relaxed and feels like a proper home.

The room is £650 pcm including bills. For someone who works from home regularly, it would be £700 pcm. I would also consider a Mon-Fri let if that would suit better.

I’m away for work three nights a week, so I’m looking for someone who genuinely likes cats and would be happy to look after Baby and Bear while I’m away - feeding them, making sure they’re okay and giving them a bit of company. They’re both lovely and very much part of the household, so a cat person would be ideal.

I’m vegan, and would ideally love to live with another vegan, although I’d also consider someone who isn’t.

I’m looking for someone friendly, independent, clean and considerate, who wants a home rather than simply somewhere to sleep. I’m sociable and enjoy a chat, cooking or eating together or a drink, but I’m also very happy for us to do our own thing. I think the best house shares have that balance where you can be friends, but nobody feels obliged to be 'on' all the time. I’m not looking to make this a party house, but I’m also not looking for someone who wants to live in complete silence! I’d like it to feel relaxed, friendly and homely.
