Double in colourful central house - short term let

Hi! We have a room available for a lodger in our house in Adamsdown, on a *SHORT TERM BASIS ONLY* as we are planning to sell the house. The room would be guaranteed for 4 months, with possible rolling monthly agreements after that.

*Us*
We are Laura and Alex, both leftie environmentally conscious creative types, and LGBTQ+ so we’re looking for someone with the same values. We are a pretty chilled and quiet household and enjoy our downtime. We both work seasonally and often are away for chunks of time.

*Rent*
£480 per month which includes all utilities, council tax and wifi. No deposit or contract, but we can make up a contract if you’d prefer.

*Accessibility*
The house is a maisonette consisting of the 1st and 2nd floors of a large period property, there is a set of stairs from ground level to access the property, and also stairs within the property.

*The house*
The room we’re renting is on the 1st floor, along with a living room, a study/craft/junk room, a kitchen diner and a bathroom with a corner bath and shower. The second floor in the loft has two double bedrooms, and a second bathroom with another bath (under a skylight - it’s lush).

The back garden is accessed down the fire escape off the kitchen, and is shared with our downstairs neighbour who has a dog.
We try to grow vegetables and herbs, and the garden is a beautiful, albeit a bit wild, green space in the spring and summer.

We bought the house 9 years ago and have enjoyed renovating and decorating it, which is an ever ongoing process! Our style is pretty loud and cluttered, so it’s not to everyone's taste. We try to keep the house fairly tidy but are prone to explosions of ‘stuff’ when we’re working on a project or returning from a trip. If you like a meticulously clean and tidy space then we are not for you.

*The room*
The room is a good size (roughly 11x11.5ft) with a big north east facing window. It is fully furnished with a double bed and mattress, large drawers, storage trunk, and lots of under bed storage. You are very welcome to make the room your own.

*Location*
We're 5 minutes walk from Lidl and Clifton Street, and less than 10 minutes walk to Queen Street station end of town.

Adamsdown Square is lined with beautiful big lime trees and has a small park in the middle. There isn't much passing road traffic so it's usually very quiet but we are close to the train track so that balances it out!

There's always parking space on the street. There’s very limited bike storage in the entrance hall so if you have a bike you may need to lock it outside.
