Rarely available – we’re looking for a sixth housemate to join our lovely home in Cathays.

We’re five easy-going people aged 21–27 (3 females and 2 males), a mixture of professionals, post-grads and students. We’re ideally looking for a female to keep the current balance, although the right person is more important than gender.

🏡 The house

This is definitely nicer than your average shared house!

It’s a large, colourful, high-spec home with lovely furnishings and plenty of space. We’ve created somewhere that feels like a proper home rather than just a house where six people happen to live.

The house has:

* A large shared living room with Smart TV and Netflix
* A sunny garden
* Secure bike storage
* A large, bright kitchen with plenty of workspace
* Two ovens, two fridges and a freezer
* Dishwasher and tumble dryer
* High-speed mesh Wi-Fi throughout the house
* Communal cupboard and loft space for storing less-used belongings
* A cleaner twice a month who blitzes the communal areas
* You’ll only share a bathroom with one other person

The available room is the first-floor middle bedroom and comes furnished, including a comfortable mattress. The room will be repainted and the carpet professionally cleaned if necessary before the new housemate moves in.

💷£655 pcm – ALL BILLS INCLUDED, so there are no separate bills to worry about each month.

👋 Who we are

We’re busy people with our own routines, jobs, studies and friendship groups, so nobody expects everyone to be together all the time.

However, we’re definitely friends rather than just housemates.

When we're all around, we enjoy eating together, having a drink, watching something in the living room or just chatting in the kitchen. We make an effort to spend time together when our schedules allow, but equally everyone has their own life.

We’re looking for someone around a similar age who is friendly, considerate, easy-going and sociable, and who would enjoy being part of that sort of household.

🧹 Keeping the house nice

Because the house is so lovely, we all think it’s important to keep it clean and tidy.

There’s a cleaner twice a month to blitz the communal areas, but everyone needs to do their bit in between.

That said, we're not remotely obsessive – nobody is going to have a meltdown over the occasional cup or plate being left on the side! We’re simply looking for someone who takes a reasonable amount of pride in their home and understands that everyone needs to contribute.

We’re on a quiet street in Cathays, just around the corner from plenty of restaurants, cafés and pubs.

Roath Park is only a few minutes' walk away.

🚲 6-minute cycle to University Hospital
🚶 25-minute walk to Cardiff city centre

It's a really convenient location without feeling like you're right in the middle of the busiest part of town.
