You'll have a blackout blind and sweeping city views. Unfortunately, there is not space to work from home, and there is no space for your own furniture.

As a live-in home-owner and landlord, it's in my interests to keep everything to a high standard for you. I'm also used to sharing.
I'm generally sociable and enjoy watching TV in the lounge with housemates or cooking and eating together. There's also enough space in the house for privacy and quiet.
You'll be sharing with me (live-in-landlord) and another lodger. You'll meet and get to know both of us before deciding whether our home is right for you.

We have two cats and a Labrador puppy.
All bills are included (except for Council Tax), as are essentials such as shower gel, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets and washing-up liquid, basic breakfast items and bread, milk, tea and coffee. Bedding and towels are provided. You will need to take care of cleaning and keeping your room tidy, and helping out with cleaning the house also.
I am both a working professional and a full-time PhD student. If you are not a full-time student you are welcome to express interest, but you would be liable for up to the full annual Council Tax bill (band A) in addition to the rent (up to £86 per month). Full-time students do not pay Council Tax.
I do everything by the book, so rest assured your deposit will go into the Deposit Protection Scheme and you will be given a Lodger Agreement to provide you with some security of tenure. I have experience supporting those who do not possess standard documents to pass a UK Government 'Right to Rent check', so please still get in touch even if you are not a British passport holder. There are no charges or fees for the agreements or checks.
Finally, I am mindful of the effect of the cost of living increase on you. I will write into your initial 6-month contract that, should you choose to stay beyond its duration, there will be no increase in rent or bills for a total of 18 months from your moving-in date.
