It benefits from the rural lifestyle of a village while only being 2 miles from the popular urban shopping and residential areas of Hillsborough and Walkley. Sheffield city centre is easy to access by bus or car (15 min) on the major A61 trunk road.

The woods on the doorstep are good for walks & mtb. The locals are all very friendly and it's normal to say hello to people passing in the street - which is nice. There's 5 pubs, a village shop, little cafe, good school and church on the main street. An Asda supermarket is 5 min drive away and Sainsbury's is about 8 min away
