We are looking for someone to replace our current housemate Grace, who is moving out at the end of September after finishing her phd. We are looking for a friendly and clean young professional who is enjoys a natter in the kitchen and leads a chilled lifestyle.
The house: The house has a separate living room and kitchen, which has a washing machine and dishwasher, oven, microwace, air fryer etc.. We've got loads of cutlery and kitchenware which we share. The garden is also a lovely addition, lots of birds and great for drying clothes. Also a great view of the city on an evening. The living room is super cosy and has a tv and two sofas. You will be sharing a bathroom with Jess. The bathroom has a combined shower and bath as well as a massive cupboard which is great for storage. The room available is on the first floor and faces the garden with a view of the city. Included in your room is a double bed with storage drawers beneath, a bookcase, a wardrobe and a small storage cupboard (under the mirror). There is also a chest in the hallway that you can use for storage. The house has a basement for extra storage too. We split council tax, wifi, gas and electric and water equally between us through splitwise - which ends up being approximately ~ £140 a month.
The current housemates: you will be sharing the house with Ciara & Jess. Ciara is working as a teaching assistant in a primary school and I (Jess) am currently working at an architects practice in town, although I am going to begin a Masters in Architecture in September. We both enjoy a chat when we bump into eachother in the living room or kitchen but we are also perfectly happy doing our own thing as well. Ciara enjoys going to gigs, netball, yoga and tennis. I do a pottery course in the week and am interested in fashion and making. We both enjoy going on walks in nature and trips to the pub but tend to take it pretty easy in the week.
The area: The house is in a really amazing area and just 5 minutes walk away from all the pubs and shops on Ecclesall and Sharrow Vale Road. There's really good bus links to town and the peak district if you need to commute or don't have a car. Our neighbours are mostly families or other young professionals so it's nice and quiet at night. There is also loads of extremely friendly cats on the road that will come and say hello - which I love!
