We’re opposite a bus stop in both directions on Church Lane, close to supermarkets, colleges, the university, distribution centres, and the town centre with buses further afield.
There are still minor interior renovations and major exterior works as we restore what was once the old village vicarage.
Option for a small garden plot for anyone interested in growing their own food.

We are looking for a single person (we are legally limited to two lodgers, and the second room will be available soon).
We’re a well‑travelled, culturally open family who value fairness, equality, and a peaceful home environment. Much of our time goes into the kids, the dogs, and the renovation work, so we offer a home that is friendly, respectful, and calm.
We’re a non‑smoking household, and we prefer someone who enjoys a quiet lifestyle. Light or occasional drinking is fine, but this is not a party house.
Guest policy:
We respect your privacy and expect the same in return. Occasional daytime visitors are fine, but regular overnight guests aren’t suitable for our home, especially with young children in the house. This room is intended for someone who wants a safe, stable, and comfortable place to live rather than a social hub.
We will favour someone who feels this environment suits them — whether that’s a working professional, mature student, PhD researcher, key worker, or someone simply looking for a peaceful, secure home with plenty of outdoor space. All bills included.
