Huge double room in characterful Stafford home

I'm offering a huge, semi-furnished double room in my home in Stafford. At approximately 13 ft x 20 ft (around 24 m²), it’s a genuinely spacious room, with a lovely bay window and plenty of room to create your own sitting or work area as well as a sleeping space.

This is a characterful older house, and I live here with my senior Rhodesian Ridgeback. I'm looking for a friendly, considerate female lodger who would enjoy a relaxed, homely environment and appreciates having plenty of space.

I'm a freelance French/English translator and interpreter and work from home most of the time. It's usually just me and my Ridgeback here; my two young adult children live and work in London but come back occasionally and stay in their own rooms.

Rent is £650 per month, including bills. Council Tax Band E — included in the rent.

The upstairs bathroom is normally shared with me; when my children are home they use it too, and there's also the separate downstairs toilet.

I'm very dog-friendly and would happily consider a lodger with a well-behaved dog, subject of course to the dogs getting along. My Ridgeback has the run of the house, so this is a genuinely dog-friendly home rather than somewhere that merely "allows pets". The garden is very big, though it isn't fully enclosed.

The room currently also houses some of my yarn and craft supplies — fellow crafters very welcome! It's semi-furnished, and I'm happy to be flexible about what stays and what goes, including clearing the craft supplies, so you can make the space feel like your own.

I'm looking for someone considerate and independent who'd be comfortable sharing a home with me, and who's after somewhere spacious, comfortable and homely in Stafford.
