Large double room available in shared house. £850 per month, bills included. Wifi included.
Non-smoking household. Prefer no vape. (No drugs too).
Five minute walk to Ewell West station, zone 6, 35/40 minutes to Waterloo.
Five minutes by train to Epsom and from there great access to Dorking and Guildford by train.
10 minute walk to Ewell East station for good access to Victoria, Sutton and Croydon.
The room is a large loft room, south-east facing with two Velux windows to the front and French doors with Juliet balcony overlooking the back.
The room is clean and tidy. It has some furniture in the form of a double bed, bedside table, desk, desk lamp and coffee/tv table.
Even though there is a double bed we are seeking a single occupant. No couples, sorry. And we're not the place for the boyfriend or girlfriend to stay half the week either, sorry.
It's suitable for working from home and studying. We're open to students as well as professional people.
Shared kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has one five burner hob, two ovens and a microwave. Fridge is shared.
There is a bathroom on the same floor as the bedroom which is convenient and that would be your bathroom but it is not ensuite and it is not exclusive to the room. Us, our guests or another lodger (if we have one) would use it too. (Although us and our guests mostly use our own bathroom on the middle floor, so you will find you have the top bathroom to yourself most of the time).
Cupboard space, washing machine, fridge, freezer, iron, ironing board, cutlery, pots and pans all available. Everything you need is here and you can use it.
There is a spare parking space at the front where you can park (but if we have guests we might ask you to keep it free). There is a garden at the back with a patio, table and chairs which is nice in the summer.
The house is shared with owner occupiers - we're a married couple in our early forties and fifties. Our jobs are primary school teacher and graphic designer.
We have two children, both boys, a ten year old and a five year old.
It's very much a family home and we're looking for someone who is happy living with a family who are busy with kids, jobs and generally making the most of life.
Not everyone wants a crazy party student house right?! Some stability and peace is cool too. Having said that, family life with little kids can be messy and noisy, as well as fun. You will hear the meltdowns!
Your room will obviously be your private space and sanctuary. (Our current lodger has a small sofa and tv in there). It's quiet up on the top floor and good for working from home or commuting or a bit of both.
The large kitchen diner is a shared space and you're obviously completely welcome to use it. But it's also our only living room, so we're in there a lot as a family and it's where we chill out in the evenings too, if we get a moment to relax!
We're looking for someone friendly, honest, reliable, stable, safe and polite.
Our kids are definitely going to want to get to know and be friends with whoever lives with us. So we need someone who likes kids and is safe around kids. We'd prefer a female lodger.
The room is occupied at the moment but will be available, freshly decorated from Saturday 15 August.
