A lovely house in leafy Laleham!

The first thing to know is that I spend around half a year abroad, so although it’s technically a house share, much of the time you would have it entirely to yourself.

Second, I am a total neat freak and can’t live with mess. If that’s a good thing as far as you’re concerned because you want the same, then please read on!

Laleham is a beautiful village and my house is a 3-bed terrace on the edge of a communal lawn area rather than a street. There’s plenty of parking and my front door is close to it. The new Netflix studios at Shepperton are visible across the field from my path. Look the other way and there’s a farm, and another field to the rear of the house – so all very green. There’s a lot of bird life including parakeets, kites, the occasional owl and woodpecker. Everyone says the house has a lovely, calm vibe.

If you’re working at the studios, Gate 1 is a 3-minute drive or 15-20 minute walk away, passing by the village’s 3 pubs which apparently must always remain, thanks to a directive set out by our most famous former residents the Lucans (as in the infamous, disappearing suspected murderer, Lord Lucan). Beautiful, big parklands and the River Thames are about a 10-minute walk away.
