Bright Single Room - near Tooting rail station

The house has a Mitcham address but is nearer to Tooting, its good pubs, restaurants and shops. It's a 5 minute bus-ride or cycle to Tooting Broadway tube station and the Northern Line, and Tooting mainline station is just a 5 minute walk away which takes you into Wimbledon or the City via Blackfriars.

The room has been advertised as full week, but could work for a Monday to Friday or other part-week rent too.

Yes, I'm the 'landlady' but I've always shared the house with others and it's worked well. If you want a home, not just a room, are a non-smoker and are willing to do your bit to keep the house clean and tidy this let could be for you. You will be independent but also up for sharing a meal or drink now and then. I'm a humanist/atheist so would prefer to live with others sharing this perspective.

A word or two about values and politics: this is not a politics neutral house. I'm strongly anti-Tory/Reform, dismayed Brexit and the ongoing impact of austerity and try to be good to the planet.

The room currently has a single bed (although it can take a 4ft bed), a chest of drawers and a shelving unit. Your wardrobe is just outside the room on the landing. Apart from the kitchen/diner, there's a living room too.

There's two of us in the house - we're not a couple. We both work in the not-for profit sector: Chris is a teacher, and I work p/t in the charity sector. Ideally you'll be working or studying some of the time away from home too.

And lastly there is Stanley and Eva - the two cats, each with their funny, feline ways!
