Wake up to morning sun on your own private balcony. A double room is available in a peaceful three-storey townhouse on a quiet cul-de-sac, surrounded by National Trust parkland, and a second double room may become available too.
The room: Furnished with a good-quality double bed, wardrobe, two chests of drawers, bedside table and desk.
Included in the rent: all bills, super-fast wifi, professional cleaning of the shared areas, and good vibes.
The house: Big windows and lots of light, a fully equipped kitchen-diner, living room, garden, garage and driveway, with space to store your bike. You’ll share with my studious 18-year-old son and our (very chilled) cat. I travel a lot, so it’s mostly a calm, friendly house.
Getting around:
• 4 min walk to Mitcham Tramlink (12 min to Wimbledon, 24 to Waterloo)
• 15 min walk to Morden Tube (5 min by bike)
• 20 min cycle to Wimbledon or St George’s Hospital
• Buses 280, 118 and 201 to Tooting and the local hospitals
• Cycle the Wandle river path to Wandsworth in 35 min
House rules: Wipe up after yourself, keep the music down, and no smoking indoors. We’re warm, considerate and respect each other’s privacy.
The small print: Clear contract, deposit secured, one month’s rent in advance, and no agency fees.
Who I’m looking for: A reliable, respectful young person. References are required, ideally from a previous landlord. No rental history? I’ll accept references from a parent or guardian, your school or university, and your bank. No references at all? I ask for 3 months’ rent in advance.
