Spacious en-suite room available in Baltic Quay, Gateshead, in a modern apartment with excellent access to Newcastle city centre, the Quayside, and local transport links.

Rent is £600 per month. Bills are not included and are typically around £200 per month, covering council tax, electricity, internet and other household costs.

I’m looking for a friendly, considerate and easy-going housemate who is looking for a home rather than just somewhere to sleep. I work from home regularly and am completing a PhD, so the flat has a relaxed and professional atmosphere.

The living room and kitchen are genuinely shared spaces and I want everyone to feel comfortable using them. I’m not interested in strict house rules or cleaning rotas – I prefer a common-sense approach where we both do our bit to keep the place tidy and welcoming. I like a home that feels lived in, not spotless, but not messy either.

Partners, friends and overnight guests are absolutely fine. I don’t believe in asking permission for normal life; I just think it’s courteous to keep each other informed. The ideal housemate will be independent, have their own interests and social life, and enjoy a relaxed, drama-free environment.
