I have a cosy three-bedroom home on the New Biggin Hall estate. I'm a live-in landlord who works at sea 8 months of the year, living in the single room when I'm home, and renting out both double bedrooms.

I'm a relaxed and social landlord who loves creating a warm, welcoming home. When I'm in the UK, I'm involved in community activism - I run Women's Streetwatch Newcastle UK (weekend night shifts keeping women safe) and organize events and protests as a lesbian feminist activist. I also love gardening, walking the dogs, badminton, cinema, and writing. I LOVE having friends over for cosy dinners - think good food and conversation rather than wild parties! I'd love a housemate who enjoys that vibe and might join for occasional shared meals or kitchen chats, but there's no pressure if you prefer your own space. I only ask that you're kind to the animals and considerate of others. If you value a friendly, chilled atmosphere and want a proper home rather than just a room, this could be perfect.

A double room with a double bed, new mattress, all linens included, and a wardrobe.

The Household:

Currently, we have 3 cats. One or both dogs may be living with my partner while I am away, so it'll likely be 3 cats and possibly 1 small dog.

Rent & Practical Details:

£575 per month - all utilities included, council tax, and all subscriptions. No deposit or references required (only copy of passport and right to rent)
