Hi! I’m offering a non-standard housing option for students (or professionals) in need or in an urgent situation.
I’ve been in that situation myself—back in the day when I studied at Newcastle University, I urgently needed affordable housing, and the main thing was just having a place to sleep... So, remembering my experience, I decided to make my living room with a sofa available. Yes, I realise it might not be ideal—I’ll have to walk through the living room from time to time —but for someone who urgently needs a roof over their head at a reasonable price, this could be an acceptable option. Anyway, I’m at work more often than I am at home, and when at home - usually just play PC/watch movies or listen to music in headphones.
The kitchen and shower are shared. I’m a tidy person and prefer peace and quiet. The rent is 200, plus a fixed 50 for utilities including heating, water and electricity.
P. S. Don’t worry about the distance from the university or city center; the commute is very convenient—just a 40-minute ride on the 56 bus, and the stop is right by the house. Washington is a decent area, pretty much safe.
All amenities at home and shops are nearby. And I’d prefer a female tenant—mostly because "dad jokes" are much funnier when told to the opposite sex :)
