Beautiful double room by the sea, private bathroom

South Queensferry

Beautiful fully furnished double room with private bathroom and electric shower, all bills included, in peaceful yet central part of South Queensferry. Only 20 minutes by train into Edinburgh.

My house is just around the corner from the sea. Its very tranquil and looks out onto a beautiful community garden with lots of mature trees.

The sandstone building was built in 1850 and has loads of character. I've refurbished everything to a very high standard. There's a large open plan kitchen and living room with all the usual amenities (washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, TV) lots of light.

The bedroom is fully furnished with beautiful upcycled vintage Stag furniture and an orthopaedic bed, tallboy chest of drawers, 2 bedside cabinets, a desk and view onto a garden. There is a private shower room and toilet with electric shower.

Dalmeny train station is a short 15 min walk and trains to Waverley are frequent. You can be in Edinburgh in 20 mins. Airport is only 15 mins drive away. Alternatively, the 43 bus into the centre of Edinburgh is 45 minutes.

I have two cats, Mary and Archie (both rescues) and friendly, especially Macy. You will need to be a cat lover too because Macy and Archie will want to sit on you!

I'm self employed and work from home. Sometimes I have to travel with my work so can be away a few days a month.

I write poetry, am learning spanish (would be amazing if you spoke Spanish too- I need the practice!) practice vipassana meditation, run, love horses and ride when I can.

I am very tidy and take pride in my home so you would need to be a wee bit of a neat freak too.

Ideally, I'm looking for a like-minded professional who is working away from home and needs a base during the week. If you're not here at weekends, the monthly rent can be negotiated accordingly.

Hotels can be sterile and expensive places when you're away a lot. I know having done it myself. We can negotiate the rent depending on how many nights a week you need.
