Hi everyone,

My flatmate is moving out in September as she and her boyfriend are buying a house together. I am looking for someone to replace her in our lovely two-bedroom apartment in Lexington Gardens, which is technically in the edgbaston/lee bank area (location details are below).

Ideally, I'm looking for a female professional or postgraduate student.

The Flat

I've lived in the flat since 2019 and genuinely love living here, which is why I'd like to stay. The apartment is a modern two-bed, two-bath flat, and you would have your own private bathroom.

The bedroom includes:

Double bed

Built-in wardrobe

Chest of drawers

The open-plan kitchen and living area is bright and spacious with large windows and plenty of natural light. We're on the top floor overlooking the communal courtyard, which is lovely during the summer as it has benches and sun loungers. The complex is very secure as you need a fob to enter both the complex and building itself.

The location is excellent:

Co-op and Greggs within the apartment complex

10–15 minute walk to Five Ways Station, Morrisons and PureGym

15 min walk to the Cube

15–20 minute walk to Birmingham city centre and New Street Station

Easy access to Brindleyplace, Colmore Row and the business district (about 25/30 mins walk)

About Me

I'm a 31-year-old professional working in law in Birmingham city centre. Originally from London but have lived in Birmingham since coming here for uni.

I'm friendly, sociable and fairly easy-going. Ideally, I'm looking for someone I'd genuinely get along with and be friends with, rather than simply someone to share a flat with. It would be great to find someone who'd be up for the occasional drink, meal, night out, TV series or trip to the pub, while still respecting each other's space and privacy and individual social lives.

I work from home four days a week but have a desk in my room so if you work from home too the dining room/kitchen area will be available (this has currently worked well with my current flatmate with both of us mostly wfh).

Outside of work I enjoy:

Going to the gym

Running (currently training for a half marathon)

Eating out

Pub/bars/nights out (but also not looking for a party flat every weekend)

Netflix and movie nights

Exploring Birmingham

I'm clean, tidy and take pride in keeping the flat looking nice, so I'm looking for someone similar.
