We are Kay, Amelie, Cain and Jim, a mixed grad house working and studying in the fields of fashion, advertising, finance and geo environmentalism!
We are looking for a newbie to Birmingham to join our clan and complete our jigsaw. We were all new to the house when we joined, you can be assured of a warm welcome to both our house and the chance to meet up with other houses for meetups and ad-hoc get togethers.
Our house is linked to seven other grad house shares in the road, including next door. The houses have large gardens, great for entertaining, bbqs or sports. One house has a full size volleyball court!
There is a mix of on and off road parking. Buses are available from the top of the road direct to the city centre, which is around 30 mins commute. Similar times to the QE hospital and University of Birmingham.
The house is also a short walk to Bearwood high street for a supermarket shop, Argos, Coffee and a wide mix of independent restaurants and around 4 pubs. There is a gym within walking distance and an Olympic sized swimming and diving centre (Sandwell Aquatics) less than 2 miles away with direct bus connection. The rugby club with modern facilities is within walking distance.
The ground floor is devoted to communal space. A kitchen diner and additional lounge space and large rear garden. There are two laundry spaces with a washing machine, dryer and ample drying spaces. The layout of the house therefore allows you to have a cosy night in with your housemates or the freedom to relax privately in your own room.
The ethos of Gradcommunity is that the household meet and choose their housemates whether that be virtually or in person. Households are diverse in terms of gender, hobbies, ethnicity and career roles etc and are encouraged to connect with others with similar interests in nearby houses, whether that be sport, food or gaming.
We will be showing you around and choosing who moves in, so please reply to this message if you are interested in meeting us and viewing the house. Our landlord has been a professional landlord for 27 years and his wife. He deals with you directly rather than through an agency, so an appointment can be arranged any evening or weekend when we are mostly around to meet you.
Happy to arrange a group virtual video call for those abroad or a couple of hours away, where the distance means an in person viewing is not practical or sensible.
