We’re Ed and Ali – a friendly couple living in a spacious 6-bed Victorian end-of-terrace in lovely Kings Heath. Our current lodger, who’s been with us for nearly a year, is moving to start a new chapter in another city. We’ve really enjoyed sharing our home and would love to welcome someone new into the space.
About the Space - Free from 1st August 2026
We have the top floor of the house available, which includes:
• Room 1: A large double bedroom that spans the width of the house, with a charming feature fireplace.
• Room 2: A slightly smaller, but still spacious double room.
Both rooms are bright, and airy, and benefit from being on their own floor, offering lots of privacy.
• Bathroom: There’s also a bathroom on the same floor that would be yours.

What We’re Looking For
We’re really flexible with the setup! We are advertising two setups.
The Whole floor (£900) – Our current lodger rents the whole floor (2 bedrooms and bathroom) – using one as a bedroom and the other as a private sitting and office, which has worked brilliantly.
Double Bedroom (£625) – we are also open to renting just one room and keeping the other as a guest room.
More than anything, we’re looking for someone we’ll enjoy living with and sharing our home with, so if you’d like a different set-up, or like the space but want to discuss pricing then do still reach out to us.
The House
The rest of the house is big, with a large kitchen and dining room we would share. We also have a long garden with BBQ and seating areas you’re very welcome to enjoy.
The Area
Kings Heath is a great place to live – full of character, greenery, and great spots to eat, drink, and unwind. We’re:
• A 5–10 minute walk from Kings Heath High Street (loads of cafes, pubs, and restaurants)
• Close to two beautiful parks
• The new Kings Heath train station is about a 10-15 minute walk
• we are right opposite a bus stop with regular buses to Birmingham city centre every few minutes (via Moseley) and a direct route to the University of Birmingham/QE Hospital
About us
We are Ed and Ali, we're a couple, we bought this as our first house together about 4 years ago and have loved turning it into our home. Ed is a doctor and researcher, and Ali is an engineer. We are social, enjoy having friends over for dinner, and going for walks and Ed loves to cook and garden.

Pricing in the advert includes all bills (council tax, utilities, water, broadband, etc.).
