A large, fully furnished king-size bedroom with private en suite in a modern, sociable 4-bedroom house in Marston Green. Living with 2 other people.

The room is approximately 5m x 3m and comes furnished with a king-size bed, two wardrobes, two sets of drawers and a bedside table. If you work from home, some furniture can be swapped for a desk if preferred.

The private en suite has a large shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail.

The house

This isn’t really a “rent a room and disappear into your bedroom” kind of house — we’re looking for someone who wants to feel part of the household.

The current housemates are two guys in their late 20s/30s. Everyone has their own lives and plenty of time doing their own thing, but evenings are also regularly spent watching TV, playing games or just hanging out together.

Interests in the house include:

* Online gaming
* Board games
* Climbing
* Gym
* American football
* Films/TV
* General pub/social stuff

Someone around a similar age would probably fit best.

The house has a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with plenty of space to cook, eat and relax together.

There is:

* Large shared living area and sofas
* Dining table
* Fully equipped kitchen
* Induction hob
* Dishwasher
* Washing machine
* Large fridge/freezer space

A cleaner comes every two weeks to clean all communal areas and carries out deeper cleaning on a rotating basis. Your bedroom can also be cleaned at no additional cost if you want it included.

Garden

There’s a large, low-maintenance garden with several decked/seating areas, a big outdoor sofa setup and a gas bbq.

It’s great in summer for drinks, BBQs, having friends round or just sitting outside, without anyone having to spend their weekends maintaining a garden.

Location

The house is very well connected:
Marston Green station – around 10 minutes’ walk
From there:
* Birmingham New Street – under 15 minutes by train
* Birmingham Airport / Birmingham International – around 3 minutes by train

So it works particularly well for anyone working in Birmingham city centre, around the NEC/Airport, or travelling regularly.

Extras available

There is also a fourth bedroom which can be rented separately as a dedicated home office, ideal if you work from home and want to keep work completely separate from your bedroom.

The office room also contains a large additional fridge/freezer which can be used for drinks, meal prep or extra food storage. As well as large shelving space.

EV charging is also available for an additional fee.

What we’re looking for

The most important thing is finding someone who fits the house.

We’re looking for someone who is:
* Clean and respectful of shared spaces
* Sociable and happy to spend some time with the house
* Equally comfortable doing their own thing
* Considerate
* Easy-going
* Ideally a working professional

Male or female welcome.

This is definitely more suited to someone who wants a nice home and good housemates rather than simply the cheapest room they can find.
