We're an active retired couple looking to rent to a single professional or postgrad up to next July. International students welcome.
We have a first-floor front bedroom available in a 3-bed semi-detached house between Selly Oak and Kings Heath. The room is double-sized (2.8 m x 3.3 m) with a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, armchair and desk. It has a pleasant outlook across grass and trees between us and the neighbours opposite.
You'll have exclusive use of the adjacent room (which has a kettle, fridge and freezer, table and extra storage space), and share of the bathroom, kitchen (with washing machine), front sitting room and back garden.
Parking on the service road outside (not the main road) is usually pretty easy and there are bus stops to Kings Heath and Bournville station. We're about 35 minutes by bus to the city centre, a 10 min walk to Co-op, PO and takeaways, and 35 min walk to Birmingham University (15 min by bike). A bike can be kept in a padlocked shed in the back garden.
