A spacious, bright upstairs double room in our family home in Pound Hill, ideal for a professional looking for a comfortable and stable place to live.

The room is a good size with excellent built-in wardrobe and storage space. The photos currently show two double beds; one will be removed before the lodger moves in, leaving one double bed and considerably more usable floor space.

The room is upstairs and shares a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. The family also has access to two other toilets in the house, so the shared bathroom arrangement does not tend to feel crowded.

There is a shared kitchen for cooking and day-to-day use. There is no shared living room, so the setup suits someone who enjoys having their own comfortable space while still being part of a friendly household.

We also have a large garden, which the lodger is very welcome to use for some fresh air, reading, relaxing or simply having a bit of downtime.

We are a married couple with two young children and both work from home. We are relaxed, friendly and sociable, and very happy to chat and have a laugh, while also respecting everyone’s privacy and personal space. As we both work from home, someone who generally goes out to work during the week would probably suit the household particularly well, although this is not an absolute requirement.
