Room (+ parking) in cool 2-bed flat! ✨

Hiya! Looking to rent out the spare room in my flat, available from the 14th of July :)

The room
Smallish bright room (2.52 x 3.04m) with shuttered windows and a cute view of the old church next door

Furnished with:
Bedside table
Wardrobe
Large bookshelf
Small double bed (120x190cm mattress)
Bedding pictured (if you’d like it!)

The flat
It’s a first floor flat in a super lovely early 1900s building, redeveloped in 2020. The kitchen/living room has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a tv (subject to me wall-mounting it successfully). The large bathroom with shower/bath would be shared between us. There’s also some storage space in the bathroom and hallway for you.

You’d get use of your own allocated parking space, a communal garden, and a bike shelter.

It’s right on the 2/3/36 bus route, a 10 min walk away from Lidl, and there’s a newsagent across the road.

I moved in just over a month ago and haven’t finished decorating yet, will get the painting done before you move in and will get a bit wacky with the decor. Also if you’re planning to stay long-term you can choose the paint colour for your room :)

The room wouldn’t work for someone who works from home majority of the time (if it was just a day/week that would be ok), as there’s just the one desk in the flat and I work from home sometimes.

It would be great to have someone who’d like to stay long term (6+ months). Ideally not looking for students for council tax reasons, but if you’re cool then I could consider postgrads 😎😎

I’m a fairly tidy and clean person, so would like someone who can keep communal areas similar

No cats or dogs sadly :( but if you’ve got a lizard or fish or some other interesting kind of pet that would mainly stay in your room then that would be a fun bonus

I’m a scientist from scotland mainly working in Jimmy’s hospital (~30 min walk away, for those interested!). I’m a pretty outgoing person and enjoy having friends round/hosting things.

Hobbies and such include:
Dancing! Many kinds but I do a lot of salsa and bachata
Homebrew (you could be my lab assistant/lab rat to sample my wares)
Weightlifting
Occasional surfing and bouldering
Some crafty stuff
Going to gigs
