Rent out one bedroom in a 2b1b

I’m renting out one bedroom in a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom flat in Huddersfield city centre.

The bedroom is around 10 m², and the living room is over 20 m², so the flat is quite spacious. The room has enough space for a bed, desk, wardrobe and some extra storage.

The rent is £550 per month, including bills. The building has a lift and is very close to Huddersfield train station, so the location is very convenient.

There is also a shared washing machine and dryer on the ground floor, both free to use. There are only nine flats in the building, and many residents don’t use the shared laundry facilities very often, so they are usually available.

The building is generally safe and quiet, and several CPT PhD students also live in the building.

At the moment, I’m only renting out my bedroom. My current flatmates are a couple, and they are planning to move out in September once the contract for their new place is confirmed.

The room can be rented short-term until 12 October, and I can offer a slightly lower price for a short-term stay.

If you are looking for a longer-term place and everything works out, we can also contact the letting agency and discuss an official tenancy transfer. After my flatmates move out, you could potentially find a friend to rent the whole flat with you, or the agency may be able to help find another tenant for the other room.
